5,0 von 5 Sternen Excellent across the board
I am primarily a runner but also Nordic (Cross Country) ski. I am in the Army and so have a fairly high level of fitness.
I was therefore initially a bit sceptical about Nordic Walking but having read, digested and practiced I have been pretty amazed.
Main Pros:
Running - advice on posture and stride have helped my running.
Upper body endurance - using the poles has been great for this which I often find hard to achieve.
Long Covid - there's a section on asthma but it strikes me that the benefits are likely transferable.
App suggestions - for kit, equipment, walking routes etc. are very useful.
Videos - QR codes to videos are very useful for technique tips.
Layout - very easy reading
Cons:
Could be more QR codes and app suggestions.
Overall, this is a book that is appropriate for any fitness levels and goals. It takes an holistic approach to walking, exercise, health and enjoying being outside. If you are into any of these, it's worth a look.

I thought it would have photos of Nordic walking but you have to go online to see them.

5,0 von 5 Sternen Strongly recommend for anybody living with back, neck and knee pain.
I found this book really easy to read as well as being genuinely helpful for my various aches and pains. As a middle aged bloke who used to play a lot of contact sports, I have various niggles with my back, neck and knees. The author provides really helpful tips on how to walk properly, let alone Nordic walk, and the QR codes which link to videos are superb. I was a bit negative about walking with poles before, but I have to say I am a convert. Nordic walking looks like it's going to be a bit of a game-changer for me.

5,0 von 5 Sternen A great read, and just what I need.
The timing of this couldn’t be better: post-Christmas sluggishness and a few pounds to lose, but no wish to squeeze myself into a gym full of new year resolutions and shouty bootcamps.
I’ve always enjoyed a walk, but this technique will give me an awful lot more bang for my buck. It requires minimal outlay, and I get to decide when and where I want to walk.
The book itself is like having an expert coach right there with you. Vicky explains the principles, benefits and techniques with warmth and clarity, and the gorgeous illustrations are very handy for those who think in pictures.
A great read…but more than that. It’s also a new skill that promises great benefits - all wrapped up with a load of inspiration and a real call to action.

5,0 von 5 Sternen Fabulous resource
A great book for all nordic walkers from beginner to instructor. I am an instructor and have applied many of the ideas to my classes. I love the menus at the back and I particularly enjoy the QR code links to the videos, which bring the exercises to life. A wonderful book - highly recommended.
